ULRICH VINEYARDS
Dimensions: 30’ x 40’ with a 20-foot roof-only portion
This steel building is for a winery on the Central Coast of California. The architectural steel design lends itself perfectly for the hot Paso Robles days, utilizing the shade portion and quick access to the fully insulated interior. The metal sheeting is a mixture of weathering steel Corten and an “Ash Gray” roof color that gives this winery steel building a very unique look.
LOCATELLI WINERY
Dimensions: 60’ x 150’ x 22’
This winery steel building project incorporates a number of functional and aesthetic elements.
The space is broken up with interior insulated demising walls to create separate climate control zones for case goods storage, barrel storage and production. In addition, an office, lab and bathroom element were added central to the entire operation.
The building incorporates an R-30 value “Simple Saver” insulation system. This economical insulation system provides good thermal blocking and condensation control.
The exterior uses a combination of finish material to minimize the visual massing of the building. This is accomplished by incorporating Kynar finish “PBR” wall sheeting in “Slate Gray” with sections of Corten weathering steel.
CAELESTA VINEYARD
Dimensions: 60’ x 150’ x 22’ and 60’ x 60’ x 22’
This boutique, winery steel building project incorporates a number of functional and aesthetic elements.
The space is broken up with interior insulated demising walls to create separate climate control zones for case goods storage, barrel storage and production. In addition, an office, lab and bathroom element were added central to the production operation.
The tasting room building has office space, guest bathroom facilities, a prep kitchen, case good storage area, a V.I.P. tasting area and grand tasting room. The grand tasting room incorporates the use of a large-format storefront window system and glass sectional door to open the tasting room to the covered patio and recreation area.
The building incorporates an R-30 value insulated metal panel (IMP) system. This top-of-the-line insulation system provides excellent thermal blocking and condensation control.
We used an asymmetrical batten system to create a random, whimsical texture to the exterior. The finish is high-quality and durable Kynar in “Weathered Copper.” The interior is “Imperial White” with an additional 7-foot tall sacrificial liner panel to protect the exterior insulated panels from forklift damage.
